The ATE union reiterated this Friday that it will carry out a national strike when the labor reform project is debated in Congress, and also lamented the lack of progress in the public sector wage negotiations. In a statement obtained by Noticias Argentinas news agency, the union detailed that it has already decided to take action when the project promoted by Javier Milei's administration is discussed, which is expected in December but could be postponed to February 2026. On the other hand, the union complained about the course of the sector's wage negotiations: 'Attending a bargaining session without an offer is betting on conflict. There must be a salary increase in December. If the government does not grant it, we will face an unprecedented adjustment for a 12-month period,' indicated Rodolfo Aguiar. 'We are more than 11 points below the accumulated inflation and there are still two months of price evolution to come,' he detailed. He also lamented that 'multi-employment has come to stay in a State that is losing highly qualified workers due to miserable incomes.'
